Loss of support in the pelvic region can be caused by a variety of life experiences. These defects can sometimes result in inconvenient, and often lifestyle limiting, leakage of urine. Surgery may sometimes be performed to replace the support underneath the urethra and to prevent much of the leakage from occurring.
